Fatima Stepped Marble Table Lamp with Linen Shade for Bedside Tables and Consoles

The Fatima is built around a stepped cubic block of heavily veined brown marble, cut so the stone's movement runs across each face rather than being hidden inside the form. A brushed brass stem rises from the block and carries a tapered white linen shade, which keeps the top of the lamp quiet and lets the base do the talking.

Marble gives it weight, and weight is useful on a table lamp. It sits without shifting when a bedside drawer is opened or a book is set down against it, which is more than can be said for the resin and hollow metal bases in the same size bracket.

The linen shade diffuses the bulb into a soft, even pool rather than a hard edge, which suits a nightstand or a console where the lamp is a light source and a piece of furniture at once. It takes an E26 or E27 bulb, runs from a push button switch on the fixture, and comes with a 59 inch cord. Certified for North America, Europe and Australia.
