About Us

Hommco is based in Ashburn, Virginia (Loudoun County) which is about an hour’s west of the Potomac River crossings into Washington. Hommco started with a small selection of items for the home which were of good enough quality to last more than a season or two. The Hommco catalogue is currently very small as the intention is to slowly add items which Hommco feels will be of interest to existing customers.

We select products the slow way. First we consider the construction, then the materials, the finish, and finally the question: “Will this look good in a room 5 years from now?” We go through the process of handing out samples, measuring them, and living with them to see how they really are. A good number of products don’t make it. Those that do make it to Hommco are photographed as they really are. This means that’s different from how products are represented in mood boards.

And then there are the details. All orders are shipped free of charge within the USA, are carefully packed to ensure safe arrival, and include tracking information as soon as the parcel leaves our building. We strive to be a shop you return to again and again. And that means the ‘uninteresting’ details have to be looked after too.
